Ceramic Ornament #9 - Dove Collage, Round Ornament

For my final project of the year, I decided to look back on 2022 and create ornaments inspired by sketchbook pages and projects from the last 11 months! Each one is hand painted--or in this case, hand collaged--and has a story and meaning behind it.

This past February, I spent a week experimenting with different collage techniques and it's something I've continued to incorporate in my work so I knew I had to have a collage ornament in this collection!

Each piece of paper was torn by hand from catalogs and magazines and individually glued onto the ornament. I chose a dove as the centerpiece as these lovely creatures represent peace, freedom, and love--all things we could use more of here at home and around the world.

I hope this ornament can bring a sense of calm, peace, and serenity into your space.

PRODUCT INFO:

• Measures approx. 3 1/2" in diameter and 4" in height
• Made from recycled paper.
• Finished with a protective coating.
• Strung with red double faced satin ribbon.

ORNAMENTS FOR A CAUSE:

Each ornament is paired with an organization to support the work they do. A portion of proceeds from this ornament will be donated to Sunflower of Peace. They are providing medical and humanitarian aid (first aid backpacks, medicine, and other items for survival) for paramedics and doctors in the areas affected by violence in Ukraine. Wishing for peace and freedom for Ukraine.
