Combining brush lettering with floral drawings for this month’s mini challenge!
The Better Letters in 15 Challenge is a set of FREE brush lettering projects and worksheets based on the idea that 15 minutes of practice per day will help you improve your lettering! It is something that has worked for me and I wanted to create a fun and easy way to do this.
This month’s mini challenge is to brush letter “blossoming” surrounded by flowers and leaves! The challenge email contains step by step instructions and photos to walk you through the process.
PLEASE DON’T FEEL INTIMIDATED BY THE DRAWING PART! :) I wanted to add this to switch things up. For those of you who already enjoy drawing, this is a way you can incorporate it with your lettering. For those of you who have never tried drawing flowers, I hope you get to try something new and maybe discover something you really like! Just like lettering, I find doodling and drawing to be relaxing and meditative. I’ve also included tips as well as a break down of how each flower and leaf I used is drawn to help with this part!
If you’d like to join in on this and receive the instructions as well as 3 different heart templates, be sure to sign up for the Better Letters In 15 list to get the emails and links to previous challenges by clicking here:
I really hope you will try out this month’s challenge! When you’re done, be sure to snap a pic and tag me on Instagram, @atiliay or email it to me–I love to see your work!
I hope that when you are done, you can put this up somewhere as a reminder that we are just like flowers–always growing and budding. And with time and patience, we will also unfold and blossom.
