Long Beach Brush Lettering Workshop - Atiliay.com

Thank you Kristine, Sela, Tori, Cindy, Oralia, Isabella, Ashley, and Carla for joining me for a Saturday morning workshop at RunwayTrash! Everyone was so focused and did a great job–I am excited for their skills to continue to grow and evolve!

A few other highlights: I loved that Sela had been wanting to take a lettering class and her mom surprised her by bringing her today without telling her where she was going–I love a good surprise!

Ashley’s husband gave her a workshop gift certificate for their anniversary! We’ve been trying to figure out a date that worked for her to come and I am so glad to finally be able to meet and letter with her! And extra brownie points for her husband :)

Cindy had mentioned that she’s been trying to get out of her comfort zone and try new things–one of them being this! I really admire that because it can be really hard and scary, especially doing something new alone! Hearing that really inspired me because it’s something I am trying to push myself to do as well. I am really glad she came and she can check this off her list!

Lastly, I loved that both Tori and Ashley are educators–thank you for all that you do for the kids you work with!

A special thank you to Lauree from LG Collective for hosting and Phimpha for having us in her space at RunwayTrash!

It was so wonderful getting to letter with both Gabby and Marie again! They have both already taken the part 1 class and joined me for part 2. One of my favorite parts of doing this second class is seeing what each person does with bouncing and flourishing–there are so many possibilities and ways to interpret these elements for each letter! In addition to lettering, we also talked about our messy desks (some messier than others lol), marker and washi tape storage, and different projects we can create with your lettering. I had so much fun and love having the opportunity to see familiar faces again and catch up! Thank you ladies for lettering with me again nad I hope our paths cross again in the future!

Orange County Brush Lettering Workshop - Atiliay.com

Thank you Krystle, Mimi, Kate, Turbo Teri, and Rachael for joining me yesterday afternoon for a Sunday Funday workshop at The Potting Shed! I really enjoyed my time with these ladies and it was wonderful to see everyone connecting with one another as well. I loved seeing everyone the first up and down strokes each person created at the beginning of the class and then the words that were being lettered by the end of the class! I hope everyone had fun and continue to grow and utilize their skills. I really appreciated the great energy and positive vibes this workshop had!

A special thank you to Ashley from Saturday’s class for sharing about it–Krystle works with Ashley and heard of it through her!

Thank you always Jack and Luis at The Potting Shed for having us in their beautiful space–it is really such a treat to be able to teach there!
